ELECTRIC 'KILN FIRING' SERVICE
Ipswich Pottery Supplies offers a simple 'Kiln Firing' service at low cost, however, the 'Kiln Firing Service' is ONLY available to non-professional potters and for non-commercial firing. Due to the nature of clay firing, we are unable to guarantee the end results, and use a standard firing schedule, bisque at cone 06, Earthenware 05 to 03, and Midfire only, up to cone 6.
We care about all the items that require the 'Kiln Firing' service, therefore we do strive to provide the best service including handling the clay sculptures with due diligence, and wiping off any glazes underneath pots before going in the kiln to prevent from sticking/breaking. Please note that we use discs of fired clay with kiln wash on for items with glaze on to protect the shelves. If the glaze runs, and the piece sticks to the clay disc, both will be given to the customer.
How can you help the 'Kiln Firing' process to ensure the best outcome?
Please ensure that:
What type of Kilns are available within the 'Firing Service'?
How much does it cost if you have a large Kiln load to fire?
How much does it cost for small Kiln load to fire?
