BOTZ BLACK UNDERGLAZE
BOTZ Underglazes are best to use between 1000?????1250??C.
The newly developed, ready-to-use decorative colours are easy to use, can be diluted with water and can be mixed. 24 brush-on colours are available in 30ml and 200ml jars for nearly every ceramic decorating techniques.
Apply a thin coat of underglaze colour to greenware or bisque-fired clay, let dry thoroughly and glaze with Transparent to make food safe.
For Majolica apply the underglaze directly onto unfired white-covering glaze, e.g. Botz 9101.
When stenciling with BOTZ underglaze: choose a thin stencil and dab the colour into the gaps two or three times. Lift the stencil off after the colour has dried and glaze the decorations using transparent glaze carefully with a soft brush.
Stir the glaze thoroughly and apply with a brush (e.g. BOTZ 9005) or a spray. ??BOTZ underglaze sprayed onto porcelain and fired with Transparent 9106 at 1080??C, results in a wonderfully smooth dishwasher-resistant surface.
