BUFF WOODFIRE STONEWARE CLAY. Extremely good throwing clay. Warm brown speckle colour in reduction (gas), buff in oxidation (electric). Clay body designed for wood firing and /or salt glazing. This clay contains a high amount of Rhyolite. It has a relatively low shrinkage rate and colour response to make it a suitable body for wood firing. Normal stoneware glazes can be used.
(Reformulated due to the unavailability of the Gulgong clay deposits) Now fires darker than the old formula.
